Our Staff

John Murphy – General Manager

John grew up playing baseball in Loudoun County. He was part of the first State Championship team for Greater Loudoun Babe Ruth in 1976 that sent 8 players on to D1 scholarships. He attended Loudoun County High School, where he still holds the single season batting average mark of .476. He then went on to play Catcher and Centerfield for University of Maryland, Baltimore County from 1976 – 1981 and holds a lifetime batting average of .328. After graduating, John started giving back to the Community of Loudoun, first as Dulles Little League President, and now as Board member of the Ashburn Athletic Association. He has been actively involved with youth sports for over 25 years, now running an offseason programs encompassing over 400 kids. Coach Murphy coaches the 11u Replay Rangers travel baseball team.

Jim Craig – General Manager

Coach Craig has been actively involved in the Ashburn community during the last 10+ years. Jim played American Legion Baseball prior to attending Florida State University. He has coached baseball at various levels for the last 20+ years. Jim served on the Board of Directors for Eastern Loudoun Babe Ruth Baseball which served hundreds of kids in the Loudoun County area. Jim currently coaches elite level High School players, while positioning them at Showcase events throughout the Mid-Atlantic. Coach Craig coaches the 12u REPLAY Rangers travel baseball team.

Baseball

Alex Feemster – Director of Baseball

Alex Feemster graduated from Broad Run High School in Ashburn, VA where he excelled in three sports. Alex earned four letters as the center fielder of the Spartans, served as the team captain his senior year, and earned defensive MVP honors. Alex also earned three letters as the point guard and captain for the Spartans Basketball team and earned two letters as a two-way player for the Spartans Football team.

After high school Alex attended Alcorn State in Mississippi for a year on a baseball scholarship as a utility player (P, 2B, OF). He transferred to the University of Virginia’s College at Wise’s where he completed his Bachelors of Arts degree in Health Education with a concentration in Sports Management. While at UVA Wise he played outfield for the Cavalier Baseball Program and outside linebacker and special teams for the Cavalier Football Program. Alex enjoys and appreciates the training aspect of sports which was reflected in his willingness and ability to help teammates. Alex gained some coaching experience working with trainer Robert Smart and his Vision Sports youth football camps. He has a passion for helping others cultivate their abilities and maximize their potential and is anxious to help others elevate their game. Coach Feemster coaches the 13u REPLAY Rangers travel baseball team.

Traelic Cotter – Baseball Hitting Instructor

Coach Cotter grew up in upstate NY, where he starred at Point Park University and Schenectady Community College. He collected multiple awards while playing including Academic All-American. After completing his playing days, inclusive of 5 years of Semi-Pro ball, Coach Cotter started his own elite travel baseball program for ages 13-18. He is an educator in the Loudoun County School system during the day and has graduated over 20 kids to play at the collegiate level.

Ruben (Ben) Rosado – Baseball Instructor

Coach Rosado is a graduate from Bluefield College with a Bachelors Degree in Exercise Sport Science with a focus in Sports Medicine. He played baseball for four years at Park View High School which led to a scholarship to play the next four years at Bluefield College. While at Park View, Ben played all positions and was an All-District pitcher his senior year. While at Bluefield, Coach Rosado was used as a pitcher primarily, but also played extensively in the middle infield. Ben continues to work out for independent MLB teams, and looks to play for our hometown Loudoun Hounds while working with young athletes in Loudoun. Coach Rosado coaches the 14u REPLAY Rangers travel baseball team.

Andrew Seigel – Baseball Instructor

Coach Seigel is a graduate of Broad Run High School in Ashburn, VA. Andrew was a two time all-district Outfielder for the Spartans. During his playing career he played at a competitive level throughout the East Coast. His teammates voted him team captain his senior year.

Andrew attended Concord University in West Virginia on a baseball scholarship. During Coach Seigel’s time at Concord he received all-conference awards for all four years. He was a highly successful hitter at Concord and finished with a career batting average of .346. In addition to his high batting average Andrew also ranks in the Top 3 in hits with 262, and holds Concord University school record for most stolen bases in a career with 88. Andrew also won a conference championship with the Mountain Lions his freshmen year. His senior year he was a captain on the baseball team. He graduated Concord in 2016 with a degree in Business Management. Coach Seigel has a passion for the game and currently coaches in the Rangers Baseball Travel program.

Derrick Ellison – Elite Pitching Instructor

Derrick Ellison is a Loudoun County native who graduated from Longwood College with a degree in Business Administration. Coach Ellison signed his first professional contract in 2001 as a non-drafted free agent with the Richmond Roosters of the Frontier League. During his 10 year career he pitched for the following MLB organizations: Seattle Mariners, Chicago Cubs, Milwaukee Brewers, and New York Mets. Coach Ellison was a part of 3 professional championships and was a 2 time All-Star during his playing career in which he reached AAA. Coach Ellison was the pitching coach for Notre Dame Academy (Middleburg, VA), during the 2005 and 2006 seasons. Both of those teams went on to win the VA Independent School League State Championship.

Tommy Meier – Baseball Instructor

Coach Meier played high school ball for Broad Run where he was part of 2 District Title teams. Tommy went on to play College ball at UVA-Wise.

Meier finished his career by hitting .373 with 21 RBIs in his senior season. The catcher also collected eight doubles, three home runs, and scored 20 runs in his final season. The only player to start in all 37 games this season, Meier added 50 hits to finish his career with more hits than any other catcher in school history and fifth overall with 198.

For his career, the Ashburn, Va. native posted a .365 average with 28 doubles, seven triples, four home runs, 73 RBIs, and 104 runs scored.

Scott Logan - Baseball Instructor

Coach Logan grew up in Southmoreland, PA. where he was a three time letter winner for his High School championship teams. Scott then went on to play his college baseball at Walsh University in Canton, OH. While at Walsh he was selected as Outstanding Freshman, Offensive Player of the Year while setting multiple single season records. He still holds records for most AB in a season, most runs, most hits, most doubles and most triples.

Kyle McCormack - Pitching instructor

Coach McCormack is an Ashburn native where he attended Broad Run HS. While at Broad Run Kyle held a 14-4 record on the mound with a 2.78 ERA. He received 1st Team All District honors in 2012 from the Dulles District. Coach McCormack then went on to pitch for 4 years at Frostburg University. During his time at Frostburg, Kyle worked as a long reliever and ultimately became a standout starter in the rotation. During his summers Coach McCormack competed in the Valley Wood Bat league hurling for the Aldie Senators. After completing his playing time in college he coached the Woodstock River Bandits in the Valley Wood Bat league. He is currently our main pitching instructor along with coaching our 10u Rangers travel team.

Dan Mahoney - Pitching instructor

Dan Mahoney is in his first year as the Pitching coach at Broad Run High School. Dan is a native of Boston, Massachusetts and was a standout football, hockey, and baseball player at Cushing Academy in Ashburnham, MA. Coach Mahoney was taken in the 16th Round of the 2007 MLB draft by the New York Yankees after leading the Cushing Academy baseball team to back-to-back New England Prep School Council titles.

Following his prep career, Dan attended the University of Connecticut on a baseball scholarship. After two seasons pitching for the UCONN Huskies, he was selected in the 4th Round of the 2009 MLB draft by the Florida Marlins.

Coach Mahoney spent the next 5 years in the MiLB playing for both the Florida/Miami Marlins, as well as the New York Yankees. Following his retirement in 2014, he and his wife Laura moved to Northern Virginia.

Coach Mahoney is an NASM certified personal trainer, as well as an RKC certified instructor.

Softball

Natalie Quinn – Senior Hitting / Pitching Instructor

Natalie hails from Illinois where she grew up playing outfield, pitcher, and catcher. She played in the Canada Cup for seven years while with the Decatur Pride. She continued her player career at Bradley University where she was a team MVP and left with the most hits, doubles, and home runs in a season. After graduating, Natalie began her coaching career at Northern Illinois University as an assistant. She spent a year coaching at Bradley University before moving to the high school level for several years.

Jenny Clohan – Softball Instructor

Coach Clohan played High School softball for Broad Run High School where she earned All-State Pitcher of the Year for Virginia as a senior... four-time all-district selection and three-time all-state selection... Broad Run Softball Rookie of the Year in freshman season... Broad Run Softball MVP senior year... four-time Washington Post All-Extra and All-Met selection... club team the Virginia Shamrocks won the 2005 ASA Gold national title... picked up the win in the championship game.

As a four year starter at James Madison University she was the school's all-time leader in starts, appearances, innings pitched and saves. She was the single-season record holder in ERA (1.86) and saves. Coach Clohan is the pitching coach for the REPLAY Bandits travel softball organization.

Stephanie St Peter – Softball Instructor

Coach Stephanie graduated from Stone Bridge High School where she was a four year starter at catcher and 3rd base. She was named to the first team all district, first team all region, and All-Met honorable mention for states. She then went on to be a four year starter at catcher at West Virginia Wesleyan College where she graduated with a degree in Exercise Science. She was first team All-Conference and 2nd team All Region while there.

Coach Stephanie started playing for the Ashburn Shooting Stars 12u, and when she turned fourteen she started for the Vienna Stars Gold 18u. She has been coaching Girls travel Softball since 2009. Coach St Peter coaches the 14u REPLAY Bandits travel softball team.

Maria Zavala - Softball Instructor

Coach Zavala is a former student-athlete from the College of Charleston in South Carolina, where she was a member of the softball team for four years. Recruited as a utility player, Maria has had experience in the outfield, at shortstop and even behind the plate. Her junior and senior year she played third base and finished her senior year with a batting average of 0.364.

Before attending the College of Charleston, Maria played Varsity Softball at Bishop Denis J. O'Connell. Being a major contributor in the line-up as well as the starting third basemen, Maria helped the team win Conference and State Championships in 2008, 2009, and 2010. Coach Zavala coaches the 10u REPLAY Bandits travel softball team.

Cori Prince - Softball Instructor

Coach Prince is a local star who graduated from Stone Bridge High School where she played shortstop. Cori was a four-year starter for Stone Bridge where she batted .455 over her career. She was a four-time All District player and was an All-Met selection. Cori went on to play college softball at George Mason University as a Centerfielder. Cori enjoys teaching the female athletes of tomorrow. Coach Prince coaches the 12u REPLAY Bandits travel softball team.
